Ladybugs were everywhere and the sunset was a perfect pink-and-blue-cotton-candy combo.
Jacob and Monica buried a whiskey bottle a month before their wedding date at Windyke Country Club. I had never heard of this Southern tradition, but I’m now a big fan. Not only did they have good weather on their wedding day, but they got to dig up the dirt covered bottle and have a sweet little moment toasting to this new beginning.
Monica's dad could see his daughter's struggle to contain her emotions as they waited their turn to walk down the aisle. He gently encouraged her to release her pent-up feelings. It's a always a struggle to let go of your emotions. However, when you have someone safe to hold onto, anxieties fade away, and it’s suddenly less scary. For Monica, I know this moment of walking down the aisle towards Jacob is that much more precious.
